Helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey

The scope of the damage and the sheer number of people affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana is staggering. And, now, Florida and other southern states are being threatened by Hurricane Irma. Last month ICC pledged to match member, staff and stakeholder donations to the American Red Cross up to $64,000, the number of ICC members, to help with disaster relief. ICC's 2017 Annual Conference begins

This year's ICC Annual Conference and Building Safety & Design Expo in Columbus, Ohio, will bring together building safety professionals from across the spectrum with plenty of opportunities to advance your career and network with peers in a meaningful way. With this year's schedule packed full of interesting, educational and fun events, ICC added some new features and made changes to the way you'll experience Annual Conference.

With the theme, "Many Voices One Purpose," this year's conference continues a new tradition to foster and mentor the next generation of ICC leaders.

Fowler ride takes in scenic Ohio

The 14th Annual Bob Fowler Motorcycle Ride was held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9-10, prior to the start of ICC's 2017 Annual Conference. Riders cruised northeast up to the Millersburg area, home to quaint Amish farms in Ohio's rolling hills, and explored southeast Ohio's Hocking Hills with its forests, farms and winding roads, perfect on a glorious fall day.

The wildly popular motorcycle event is organized every year by Ron Nickson, vice president of building codes for the National Multi-Housing Council, and supports the Fowler Foundation, which honors the memory of the first chairman of the ICC Board of Directors Bobby J. Fowler.
