1,500 Public Comments Received and Reviewed at IGCC Hearings in Chicago The Sustainable Building Technical Committee (SBTC) heard and took action on more than 1,500 public comments on Public Version 1.0 of the International Green Construction Code (IGCC) during hearings held August 14-22 in Chicago. Comments received and testimony presented at the hearings will be the basis for Public Version 2.0 of the IGCC, scheduled for release in November. The IGCC focuses on increasing building performance and goes hand-in-hand with prescriptive codes such as the International Energy Conservation, Building and Residential Codes. |
