Virginia Code Officials, Home Builders Association Earn ICC Raising the Profile Award A public campaign highlighting the importance of building codes and building safety is the 2010 recipient of the Code Council’s Raising the Profile Award, which recognizes contributions that raise public awareness of accomplishments of code enforcement officials that improve public safety. The Virginia Building and Code Officials Association (VBCOA) and New River Valley Home Builders Association were honored for their collaboration on the “Better Building. Safer Homes.” campaign. PMG Staff Begins Training for New Adoptee Puerto Rico | ||
Following the signing of an MOU with Puerto Rico to develop a complete set of I-Codes, on behalf of ICC Global Services and ICC Training and Education, Code Council PMG Executive Director Jay Peters gave a presentation to 300 architects, engineers and public officials in San Juan. The presentations, “Code Development, Scopes and Highlights” and “Principle Changes, 2009 IPC and IMC,” were so well received, ICC was asked to return to conduct additional training. ICC-ES, NCSEA Agreement Marks a New Milestone for Building Safety | ||
