Free Report Presentation
Following research that shows code officials prefer to use ICC-ES Evaluation Reports for approving building products‚ but need education on how to use the reports‚ ICC-ES developed an educational presentation on “How to Use ICC-ES Evaluation Reports.” The one-hour presentation is being offered to Council chapters at no cost‚ and explains the code requirements for approving new products‚ the process used to evaluate products‚ the contents of an ICC-ES Evaluation Report‚ and how the report helps code officials determine product compliance. Almost 400 code officials have taken advantage of this free presentation opportunity‚ and a number of chapters around the country have announced interest. Contact Code Council Marketing Specialist Marion Maguire for details on the program.

Show Support for the CBCAG Act

If your chapter has not already done so‚ please consider adopting a resolution supporting the Community Building Code Administration Grant (CBCAG) Act of 2007. Adopted chapter resolutions are a powerful means of communication to Congress and the public. During Building Safety Week‚ the Code Council hosted a Capitol Hill delegation of 50 code enforcement professionals‚ including one chapter leader from each of the four 2007 Chapter Award winners. The delegation met with more than 100 Congressional offices on Capitol Hill Day.
