Citrus Belt Chapter encourages emerging leaders.

The Citrus Belt Chapter of ICC held its Annual Banquet and officer installation Feb. 17 in Calimesa, Calif. The oldest chapter of ICC — serving its members for 68 years — it vigorously continues to encourage students and other young individuals to enter the code enforcement and code administration profession. In fact, incoming Chapter Treasurer Michael Duncan is currently a full-time student, who has been deeply involved with the chapter for the past few years, and recently received his ICC Building Inspector Certification. Incoming Chapter President Ricardo Jacquez, who was also a full-time student when he first joined the Citrus Belt Chapter and when he was first installed as a chapter officer, acknowledged that the Citrus Belt Chapter will continue its legacy of encouraging students to get involved in chapter events and committees.

Interesting global construction trivia.

Did you know?
The Pentagon is home to the United States Department of Defense and is located in Arlington County, Va. With approximately 23,000 military and civilian employees and 3,000 non-defense support personnel, the enormous structure has five floors above ground and two basement levels, with 284 bathrooms, 5,100,000 square feet of office space (double the amount of the Empire State Building) and 17.5 miles of corridors. The Pentagon is so large that General Eisenhower once got lost trying to find his office.
