New to the Acceptance Criteria Process?
Generally, it is necessary for ICC-ES to develop Acceptance Criteria for products and systems that are alternates to what is specified in the code, or that fall under code provisions that are not sufficiently clear for the issuance of an Evaluation Report. New criteria and revisions to criteria are approved by the ICC-ES Evaluation Committee during public hearings or—in selected instances—through an alternate process that involves the solicitation of public comment through the ICC-ES website.
