Senator Nelson credits International Codes

Florida Senator Bill Nelson praised the International Codes during a senate nomination hearing this month (Nelson's remarks start at approximately 47:36 in the video). In reference to the structural damage caused by Hurricane Irma, Sen. Nelson said, "...the building codes do work. Because, where there was a new structure [built] according to the new codes - the International Codes standards - the structure is [still] there. Where there was an old structure next door [not built to the I-Codes], it's gone."
