IAS, CPSE Sign Agreement to Develop A formal signing ceremony was held between the International Accreditation Service (IAS) and the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) at the ICC Annual Conference Legislative Forum to recognize their joint effort and commitment to develop the IAS Fire Prevention and Life Safety Department Accreditation Program. Code Council Chief Executive Officer Richard Weiland introduced the event and welcomed signing representatives CPSE Executive Director Paul Brooks (left) and IAS President Chuck Ramani (right). This new accreditation program will formally recognize the fire prevention and life safety departments that have demonstrated technical competence to administer an effective system of code enforcement, fire prevention and life safety. IAS Conducts Internal Audit Training. Internal audit training was conducted for IAS staff to create awareness of the importance of internal audits and how they are properly performed. IAS provided an extensive, two-day training session in La Habra, California, on the Measurement Uncertainty (MU) requirements in ISO/IEC Standard 17025.
